And She Stands, 03.17.10

This past week Georgia has been standing up all by herself but the minute we grabbed the camcorder she would smile and sit down. Finally, with her distracted by one of our kitchen cabinets, we caught her on film.

Snow Day, 02.23.10

Georgia was able to see her first snowfall today. She loved the snowmen that I made. Really wanted to pull the snowman's scarf off.

Georgia has started to shrug her shoulders and repeats it over and over especially when people start to laugh. She really enjoyed doing it with her Grandpa during our Mardi Gras trip.

New Years Eve Video, 12.31.09

11 months, 02.26.10

Georgia is furniture surfing and now starting to attempt to walk behind her new push toy. She is a big adventurer and is checking out everything that is within her reach. She always has a smile and has started to move her head side to side whenever there is music playing. She also loves her tunnel because she can crawl through it so quickly.

We went to McKinney Falls with family and she enjoyed it from her perch in the Baby Bjorn.

First Mardi Gras, 02.11.10

Made our annual road trip to New Orleans so we could celebrate Mardi Gras. Georgia loved all of the floats, lights, beads, and people that were along the parade routes. She had a great time and was able to spend a lot of time with family and friends.

Houston Trip, 02.06.10

We drove down to Houston to celebrate Mia's 5th birthday. Her cousins were so amazed by how quickly she is growing and even crawling. They were looking out the window at their dog and Georgia was pretty excited to be staring into the dog's eyes as she licks the glass window between them.

10 months, 01.26.10

This past month has been so many firsts. Georgia not only crawls (quickly, I must add), but she's pulling herself up to a stand. Pretty soon she'll be furniture surfing. She's very vocal and silly to boot. Definitely a ham whenever she can be. She loves to smile at everyone and wave good-bye. We had a lot of fun with her and she was a good sport about the spiked hair do.

9 months, 12.26.09

Nine months and counting. This month has been a busy one with trips to New Orleans and Houston. Georgia is doing many new things this month, waving good-bye and starting to crawl. She was very curious about a friend's cat probably b/c he was so much smaller than Lucy.

Christmas in Houston, 12.26.09

We drove to Houston the day after Christmas and had a great Mexican dinner before opening gifts. Georgia loves her bigger cousins, Cameron and Mia. They sure know how to entertain her.

First Christmas - New Orleans, 12.25.09

We drove to New Orleans and threw Pete a surprise 40th birthday party at Denise's. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of family and friends who were able to make it despite their hectic holiday schedules... Christmas Day was great at Denise's. We had a fun time hanging out with everyone and opening gifts. Georgia loves all of this attention and will definitely go through withdraws when we get back to Texas.

First Thanksgiving, 11.26.09

Pete and Georgia spent the holiday with the Norton's. They had a great time and I heard that Georgia had a ball spending time with everyone. We headed to Houston to spend a late Thanksgiving with family. Lots of food and fun.

Starting to Crawl, 11.12.09

Georgia is continuing to change day by day and is moving fast doing a military-like crawl. She is definitely keeping us busy by chasing after her as she explores the world around her.

Laughing so hard, 11.12.09

Georgia thinks it's hysterical to pretend to swat flies with a piece of paper. She just can't stop laughing. Here's a video catching it. Pay attention to the end, she has a really hard laugh.

Meeting Friends, 11.06.09

Georgia met one of her newest friends, Mia, and was in such awe of her. Georgia looked like she was going to pat Mia on her back when she started to cry. I'm sure when they are older they will have a ton of fun together... At the end of the week, we met up with some of our friends, the Thornton's, and had a great time while eating a delicious meal. Georgia loved all of the attention from Kylie and Cade. She especially loved Cade's glasses and pulling at their hair.
