Eating Sweet Potatoes, 08.23.09

Georgia is advancing her diet to now include sweet potatoes. She ate many spoonfuls and seemed to like it despite making sour looking faces. Here's the video.

First Attempt at Crawling, 08.22.09

Georgia was playing on her activity mat and making attempts to crawl. She was moving her arms and legs. Looks like she'll be crawling soon. Here's the video.

Going to Houston & finding her toes, 08.13.09

We took a road trip to Houston to help celebrate Uncle Brad's 35th birthday. Georgia had a great time watching her cousin, Mia, dance for her. She was laughing so hard it was hysterical to watch. Sleeping in & baptism pics

Georgia was laying in our bed and looking mighty comfy. Pete gave her the remote and she was a natural lounger. Also, here are some pics of her I forgot to post in the baptism gown in case you didn't get to see how she looked.

Lovin the Jumper, 08.05.09

We bought Georgia a doorway jumper and she loves the feeling of hopping up and down. Really starting to look like a big girl having fun all on her own. Here's a video of her in her jumper.

Georgia's First Bite, 08.04.09

Georgia has started eating real food! It took trying at three different meals, but she got the hang of it on the third try. Maybe it was the Tony Chachere's seasoning that we added to the third batch of bland rice cereal AAAEEE!!! Gumbo is next.

4 months old, 07.24.09

In two days, Georgia will be officially 4 months old. This afternoon we were in the backyard and she was really cracking up over Lucy. We were able to capture a minute of her laughter. This is the first time that she really showed some interest in Lucy. I think they are going to be best of buds here in a couple of years.

Bathing beauty, 07.19.09

We went over to the Esacove's for food, fun, and for Georgia to splash in the baby pool with Lilly. She wore this cute navy and white polka dot bikini (thanks Mia) with her matching sunglasses. They started out in a sink and moved over to the baby pool. Lilly was splashing in the water and this kept Georgia's attention the whole time. She's probably imagining the day when she can splash around in the water all by herself.

Playdate with Lilly, 07.18.09

Georgia and Pete went over to Adam, Lilly and Bella's house to have her first playdate. The girls hung out in the Pack n Play while their daddies played Wii. They had a ball sharing toys and really checking each other out.

16 Weeks, Stretching routine, 07.16.09

We can't believe that Georgia is already 16 weeks old, time is flying. She is always super happy when she's on her changing table and always has to stretch when her swaddle wrap is undone. Here is a quick video to show you her stretching routine and how happy she gets.

Fourth of July, 07.04.09

We had a great day despite the 100+ degree weather at the Norton's. The barbeque was delicious and Georgia enjoyed watching a rugby game with Daddy on t.v. (don't like her to watch t.v. but it was too cute). She loved being a big girl sitting up on the couch all by herself. Afterwards, we saw the fireworks over the downtown skyline. Georgia loved seeing all of the bright lights without all of the noise. It definitely kept her entertained. Here are some other cute pics that I took this week.

Laughing & Making Sounds, 07.10.09

We were finally able to capture Georgia cracking up. She especially enjoys nursery rhymes and those good ole songs like "If You're Happy and You Know It"... She is still learning her acting skills as she is very conscious of the camera. We will continue to work on that. Also, she's starting to make a lot of sounds and blowing bubbles like the second video below.

Facing Forward, 07.02.09

Georgia was estatic when we finally put her face forward in the Baby Bjorn. She was constantly kicking her legs and smiling at anyone in front of her. We took her to two different birthday parties and she was in heaven taking in all of the sights. When we first put her in, she was turning her head side to side so fast Pete thought she was at a tennis match. Needless to say, she had a great time.

Rolling over on Father's Day, 06.21.09

Georgia gave her Daddy the best gift ever. He had her on her playmat for tummy time and she started rolling over to her back. We were able to catch her last turn with the camera. Can't believe it, she'll be crawling before we know it.

Hanging out with Friends, 06.19.09

Georgia was having fun on the couch in her super cute lady bug outfit. She enjoyed herself when we went to the Coxes for fajitas and hung out with her new BFF, Lilly.

Twelve Weeks Old, 06.18.09

This past weekend we headed to Houston for Georgia's cousin's, Mia, dance recital. Mia looked gorgeous in her costume and really captured Georgia's attention. I'm sure her mind is spinning with the thought of one day putting on a ballerina skirt and lots of sparkling glitter. With all of the pictures, we even had to take one with her posing like Jessica Simpson by looking over her shoulder at the camera. Such a star... Oh, she is also starting to try to stand up and hold her bottle. She's trying to grow up too fast...

Georgia's Baptism, Ten Weeks Old 06.04.09

Georgia was baptized on May 31st with lots of family and friends joining in the celebration (she even met her Great Grandmother Anne). We had a brunch at the house to continue the celebration. Georgia was in great spirits during the baptism and didn't make a peep. She woke up briefly when they poured water on her head but immediately went back to sleep. She was awake for most of the brunch and was always picture perfect.
