Family visit, 06.27.10

We met Aunt Heather, Uncle Jim, cousins Cameron and Mia at their resort, Lost Pines for dinner. The grounds were spacious and lush with lots of outdoor activities like using the roaring campfires to make your own s'mores, horse shoe pits, an area with wooden wagons which were the perfect place for Georgia and Mia to pose for a photo. The following day Heather's family joined us at our home for the night. Cam and Mia went on a canoe ride with Uncle Pete and Jim. Luckily, there weren't any overboard tales to report. We ended the evening with an awesome pizza at a local pizzeria.

On Sunday, we drove to Caldwell to celebrate her Great Grandmother's, Anne, 80th birthday. We took her to a local Mexican restaurant where we had lots of chips, salsa and a good Tex-Mex lunch. We decided it would be fun to dress Georgia and Mia alike in a cute polka dotted outfit. Only at this age, does it seem like a good idea. Grandmom's dog, Pita, was pretty interested in Georgia and they were fast friends rolling on the ground together.

Last day at the Little Gym, 06.07.10

Georgia attended Little Gym classes for several months where she played on gymnastic equipment, played with balls, bubbles, and even a parachute. She made several friends in the class and learned from them on how to perfect her walking skills.

Geaux Saints, 05.18.10

Georgia proudly wears her 'Who Dat' dress and purse. What a year to wear Saints gear. Geaux Saints!

Pretty in pink, 06.20.10

Georgia wore a beautiful, pink dress handmade by one of her grandmother's friends. She looked so 'pretty in pink'. Many of the church ladies were commenting on how
sweet she looked.

Colorado trip, 05.20.10

We flew to beautiful Colorado to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We visited local attractions in Denver before heading to our resort in the Beaver Creek community.

Georgia has always been fascinated by airplanes and actually enjoyed the flight so much that she was able to take a nap. Her favorite part of the trip was people watching at the airport and watching the planes cruise to the gate.

She had a lot of firsts during this trip. From visiting the Denver Zoo and seeing all of the animals, to going on a bus and airport tram ride, to taking a bath in a full size tub. We drove through snow capped mountains and saw beautiful scenery of green and golden foliage. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

Finding a comfortable seat, 05.2010

Georgia went to visit a potential new school and immediately loved the toy baby bed. She kept on crawling into it and made herself at home. We also had a crawfish boil at the rugby clubhouse where she donned her new sandals. She made herself pretty comfortable in someone's chair. Even started putting her drink in the cup holder.

Cruising the lake, 04.27.10

Georgia and I had a blast on the lake. It was her first boat trip and the weather couldn't have been better. She really enjoyed getting into the lake and playing on the sandy beach. She didn't put up a fuss having to wear her enormous life vest which was a blessing. I thought she might be a little nervous in the boat as we cruised up and down. But lo and behold, she loved it.

Petting the animals, 04.25.10

Georgia had a lot of fun petting all sorts of animals at a friend's birthday party. She was so excited to see the goats, ducks and more. The animals were pretty interested in her too as you can see them checking her out through the fence.

First steps, 05.06.10

This whole week Georgia has taken a single step here and there. I had a sneaky suspicion that she might actually take several steps today and grabbed the camcorder. Here is a video of her first steps. Lookout, Georgia is on the move...
