Audubon Zoo, 11.19.10

During our New Orleans trip, we made a voyage to the Audubon Zoo which is the best around. We spent the warm morning, strolling through the zoo grounds with Georgia's cousins, Jamie, Christopher, Henry and Uncle Rene (Parran). Georgia loved seeing the lions, tigers, and monkeys. As you can see Georgia was a little frightened when she walked next to the aquarium and saw the albino alligator.

New Orleans' Storyland, 11.18.10

We flew to New Orleans for a pre-Thanksgiving gathering and made our first stop off at City Park's Storyland. It is a fantasy area in the middle of the park with many characters from popular nursery rhymes and stories. Walking in the shade of the 100 year old oaks, we stumbled across characters from the Seven Dwarfs, Mother Goose, the 3 Pigs, and Alice in Wonderland. As Georgia was in Cinderella's pumpkin carriage, she started to say several French/Cajun sayings, "la bas". Here is a video and several pictures that captured her day with her grandparents in this whimsical park.

Pigeon party at the Paramount, 11.7.10

Mo Williems' Pigeon Party was great afternoon at the beautiful Paramount Theater. We watch the pigeon, bus driver and chick act out these wonderfully funny stories that Georgia has started to read. The audience participated in the production and there were many squeals and cheers as they watched the stories unfold. Georgia was intently watching until she saw the man next to us with his big box of popcorn. She was so captivated by the white, fluffy snack that we had to buy her some before she lunged into his lap.

2nd Halloween, 10.31.10

Halloween was an exciting day for Georgia. This year she dressed up as a beautiful butterfly. We walked up and down our block, knocking on doors, and she was a great trick-o-treater. First, she was a bit confused by all of the kids going to the door and our neighbors giving them chocolate treats. After the first house, she was a pro and wasn't shy to claim her prize.

Playing at MyGym, 10.28.10

Georgia has been taking toddler gymnastic classes at MyGym. She loves running around, going down the different slides and various obstacles that they have. Especially with her best friend, Lilly, at her side. They are two peas in a pod and love to explore together.

"I love boo", 10.15.10

Georgia is really starting to talk and we couldn't resist capturing her say "I love boo". She is such a sweet and loving little girl and doesn't mind to tell you how much she loves you.

Pumpkins, pumpkins, and more, 10.15.10

After church, we went to Whole Foods and they had this amazing pumpkin display. Georgia loved seeing and touching all of the different types. From ones with bumps to ones that have smooth and oddly shaped skins.

Friends, 10.10

We ate lunch with the Moncada clan and the kiddos were able to run around this huge outdoor playground. They were so great because they were really helping her on the playscape and making sure that she saw every inch of the equipment. We capped off the day with some creamy Amy's ice cream which really hit the spot on this extremely warm Fall day... Georgia is really getting attached to her friend, Mia. She really likes being in the 'big' girl role and loves to show Mia everything. She's always telling her "come on Mia" as she runs from one toy to the next.

Uncle Brad and the pumpkin patch, 10.09.10

Uncle Brad drove up for a visit and to play a round of golf with Pete. We couldn't resist not to go to Hula Hut and enjoy great Polynesian TexMex as we lounged on their deck... With Halloween around the corner, we had to head down to the local pumpkin patch and see what pumpkins were harvested. We found some huge pumpkins with bumps all over. They even had a small Halloween display to help get us into the Halloween spirit.

Hanging out with friends, 09.10

We spent a beautiful Fall night with the Esacoves cooking on the grill while the girls played together. Georgia loved wearing the same Halloween skeleton pjs as Bella. They looked like twinkies. She nibbled on some delicious corn on the cob and watched as the fireflies lit up their backyard.
